What to expect when you worship with us
There are two services offered at St. Stephen's
Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8:00 a.m.
(traditional said service)
Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:30 a.m.
(service with hymns and choir and using contemporary language)
Services at St. Stephen's (whether in person or on Facebook) follow the Book of Common Prayer, which lays out the form and prayers of our service. Typical services will mix readings from the Old and New Testament, psalms, prayers, hymns and a sermon.
Our priest, Father Scott Garno, and our Deacon Justine, lead the service with the congregation participating extensively. All information for participating in the service is found in the bulletin available at the back of the church as people enter or online using the link from our homepage.
Music during worship at our 10:30 service is traditional hymns played on our organ or piano, along with some more contemporary Christian music. Our Voice Choir and Bell Choir offerings are a beautiful addition to the service.
Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper/Holy Eucharist) is administered every Sunday morning. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the blessed bread and wine and everybody is invited to come to the altar rail to receive a blessing.
A friendly breakfast is offered after the 8:00 service and coffee hour is offered at the end of the 10:30 service.
